GreenSTREAM is a summer-long program for youth in grades 6-12. The program focuses on connecting students with Hood Canal through various field-based learning opportunities and classroom activities. The camp intertwines science, technology, reading, engineering, art and math in an environmentally-relevant way.

Friday, July 7th – Farming | $5

Join in for the start of camp and learn about how sustainability and salmon go hand in hand.

Friday, July 14th – Research | $5

Learn about performing research with a trip to Timberland Library!

Friday, July 21st – Forests | $5

We’ll take a trip to learn all about local forests, their uses, and why they are important for salmon.

Friday, July 28th – Fish | $5

This session is focused on learning the basics of fishing and will include a field trip to a local fishing hole!

Friday, August 4th – Beaches | $5

Youth will travel to a local beach for some exploration at low tide, followed by swimming.

Friday, August 11th – Watersheds / Kayaking | $15

This trip will include a field trip around Hood Canal, learning about watersheds and their many uses, and will include kayaking at Lake Cushman!

Thursday, August 17th/Friday, August 18th – CAMPING! | $25

We’ll be doing an overnight trip to Dosewallips State Park for camping, survival skills and more!

Friday, August 25th – Estuaries | $5

The last day of camp focuses on estuaries, which support various birds, fish, and wildlife!

Tuesday, August 29th – End of Summer Concert | FREE
