Are you interested in organic gardening but lack the space or resources to do so? Here at the Salmon Center, we have several P-Patch garden plots available for lease to any and all community members. For a reasonable $25 a year and eight annual volunteer hours on our farm, you can have your very own certified organic 10’x10’ garden plot! We have a designated storage shed available for your use to store any equipment or tools you may not want to lug around to and from the farm. Our mulch, compost, and manure are also available for your use on your personal plots at no extra charge. Aside from the eight volunteer hours each year, all that we require of you as a P-Patch holder is that you provide proof that anything you choose to plant in your plot is certified organic in order for us to maintain our organic certification and to help us keep the Union River estuary, Hood Canal, and our fish safe, healthy, and happy. If you have any questions, concerns, or just would like some more information, please feel free to contact our farm intern, Christina, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or come in and see her or another staff member Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm!
