To-May-Toe or To-Mah-Toe? Regardless of how you pronounce the name of this delicious red fruit, we have ripened tomatoes ready to be harvested in our high-tunnel! As usual, we have multiple heirloom varieties of certified organic tomatoes. Although most of the tomatoes are just starting to ripen on their vines, don’t be shy about stopping by to pick tomatoes today, as they will continue to ripen off the vine. Our Sheboygan and Northern Ruby Paste tomatoes are both perfect for canning and whipping up into a delicious tomato sauce or paste. Peacevine Cherry tomatoes make a great addition to a salad and are bursting with antioxidants and Vitamin C. We have more versatile tomatoes such as Super Lakota, which are sweet and delicious for canning and slicing. Do you love putting tomatoes on your burgers and sandwiches? Give our Stupice, Jaune Flamme, or Gold Medal varieties a try as these varieties have the best flavor for slicing and putting on dishes like these. Our cucumbers and tomatoes grow best in the hot and humid conditions provided by our high tunnel, so be sure to come ready to step into our veggie-producing sauna when you come to harvest this produce.
