Salmon Center Farm Stewards

  • Time

    4:15 pm - 5:30 pm

Do you have a kiddo who may love gardening? Did they enjoy their experience with the Farm Stewards Program this summer, or maybe missed it and want to get in on the fun this fall? Join us this September at the Salmon Center for organic gardening, plant identification, arts & crafts, exploring nature, farm animals, & more!

Formerly Enviro Camp, the Salmon Center Farm Stewards Program is now an expanded year-round program with summer and school year components. Farm stewards will get to learn about and interact with all aspects of maintaining a fully functioning, organic, farm and garden that produces fresh fruits and vegetables and includes a flock of poultry along with a mixed herd of llamas, alpacas, and goats.

The fall session starts September 17th! During this session, Farm Stewards will begin by helping with the garden harvest at the Salmon Center, being included in the winterizing process and circling back to planning the next season’s garden before starting the summer over again! This once week on Tuesday afternoon program (4:15pm-5:30pm) will include some field trips off-site but will take place mostly at the Salmon Center in Belfair. There will also be Saturday potluck events for the whole family!
